Windy City
Sorry I didn't post on Thursday y'all! I was actually on a plane to Chicago for my daughters spring break! I surprised Aurora with a trip to see her dad, his family, Chicago, and my Aunt Holly in Peoria. We flew out of Atlanta Thursday morning and didn't get back until last night!
Don't worry! We had jackets with us for landing in Chicago!
Let me tell you, I know why it is called the Windy City now!! I have never been so thankful for our fleece lined leggings in my life!
Aurora and I at Cloud Gate! (or The Bean as it is more commonly called)
Friday we went to Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain (even though it wasn't on yet), and Navy Pier. By the end of the day my legs were tired but not cold!! (The rest of me however? BRRRR) Millennium Park was so cool! There were sculptures and statues... Even the bridge was a piece of art!
925 feet of winding steel paneled bridge... and Aurora slid down the end of it!
We loved Chicago! Though I do have to admit I was not the biggest fan of deep dish pizza... (but shhh! Don't tell them I said that!) The only thing I wish would have been different was that I would have loved to have been able to get tickets to the Cubs season opener Sunday! But alas it was not meant to be. But the rest of the trip was something I know she and I will always remember! I'm so thankful I was able to take her and experience the city with her!
So we are back to work and school now! All good things must come to and end and all that... I hope you guys enjoyed a glimpse into our trip and don't worry I will be back again this week posting about fashion trends and beauty as usual!
Stay Perfect!
