Poncho Perfection
Poncho's are HOT HOT HOT this Fall season! I am seeing them everywhere- boutiques, the runway, on Pinterest... Pretty much everywhere fashion is being discussed ponchos are making the top of the list of this seasons must-haves! Used to be a poncho just meant a shield from the rain and now it's one of the most fashionable things you can have in your closet! To me a poncho is like a cape and a cardigan had a baby that combine the best of both features! It's important though to make sure you are getting the right fabric weight for the temperature outside since your are layering. You don't want to over heat but you don't want to catch a chill either! We have several options for you to choose from in fabric, patterns, and cuts!
Light weight? Fringe detailing? Bluish-grey and cream checked pattern? YES, PLEASE!! This poncho pairs perfectly (whew trying saying THAT three times fast!) with our "Just In Time" jeggings in wine and our "Casual Affair" top in cream. Add a statement necklace in wine and grey boots and you are readying to strut your stuff! And for our local lovelies do we have any Lowndes Viking fans?? Perfect for those Friday Night Lights! Go Vikings! (Also for our college football fans while this may not be houndstooth, we think this could also work for any Alabama game as well... What do you think?)
Can you hear the Alps calling my name? I mean YOUR name... Ahem. Anyway... Can't you just picture yourself sitting in front of the fire, sipping hot chocolate, roasting marshmallows, wearing this poncho, and loving life?? Because I sure can! This orange, brown, and cream poncho is medium weight so perfect for those cooler nights (you can always play with the weigh of your shirt underneath if you get hot easy or if you tend to be colder) and it has a pom pom detailing that I would never stop playing with. This is great for wearing with jeggings or skinnies and chocolate brown boots!
Here is our heavier weight poncho done in a beautiful taupe and cream stripe that I have featured in a blog previously. Still loving it! Fringe detailing and turtleneck take this from simple to stunning! Keep with the neutral palette. Wear those creams and light browns in your top and bottoms. Finish with boots and jewelry done in tans and golds. This is perfect for that Fall to Winter transition that is coming sooner than you think! Also great for Thanksgiving get togethers!
