Our Story: The Creation Of PPB

Perfectly Priscilla Boutique is an online plus-size women’s boutique founded by Deidre Thompson in June of 2014. Deidre recognized the high demand for plus-size boutique clothing, but many of the options out there for larger women were pricey and often not flattering. Her vision was to create a company that caters to these women without the high price-tag. We currently utilize online marketing and social platforms such as Google and Facebook to advertise and grow our business. Customer service is of huge importance to us since we do not currently have a storefront. We make sure to offer the best customer experience on phone calls, email, and messaging services online and we take pride in our quick response rates and personal shopping help over the phone. We want our customers to feel like we are there for them, no matter what! Our goals as a company are to offer the best online service for plus-size women all over the country and provide them with fashionable and trendy clothing at an affordable price. We value exceptional customer service and quick shipping as well as providing women with the latest fashions and styles. One of our biggest challenges has been to provide sizes in boutique styles that are larger than 22. We have taken great care to work personally with our manufacturers to offer extended sizing up to size 22/24. Our customers have shown a lot of positive response to our new sizing and we’re glad we can make so many women feel happier about their style and body image!

Perfectly Priscilla Boutique has shown tremendous growth in our nearly three years of operation. When the company began in Adel, GA it was operated by the owner, Deidre, alone. She packaged and received orders in her spare time. As the company grew more employees were added and we eventually achieved enough demand that we required a larger warehouse. In January 2017 we moved to Valdosta, GA and are now up to 10 employees, the bulk of which were hired in the last 6 months. We have been using the internet and various job posting websites to obtain new employees. As we grow, we may need to hire in larger quantities; at that time we would consider working with local hiring agencies or even the Goodwill job placement program. We are very aware that employees are the lifeblood of any good business and we work hard to make sure the ones we hire are a good fit for our company and are happy working with us. We are soon hoping to offer company benefits, such as insurance and we provide bonuses based on our company growth. One of our newest focuses as a company this year is giving back to our local community. In the past few months we have donated clothing to The Haven Women’s Shelter and to the emergency relief effort in Adel after the severe weather in January. We have also begun donating our time, having some of our employees volunteer at charities in Valdosta and the surrounding area, most recently at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The future is bright for our boutique! We experienced a 177% growth in sales from 2015 to 2016 and are on target for a 117% growth from 2016 in 2017. We plan to hire even more employees as we continue to grow and serve more customers.  Our growth plans for the future include offering more variety in our merchandise. We currently sell tops, bottoms, dresses, shoes, accessories, shape wear and undergarments as well. We also now have more inventory than ever before and our owner continues to travel to large retail conferences in order to get more specialized and trendy options for our customers.

Basically, PPB wants curvy women to feel as confident and beautiful on the inside as they truly are on the outside while rocking their PPB looks! We pride ourselves on amazing customer service and a streamlined shipping process. Now that we are located in Valdosta, GA we also give customers the option to pick their orders up directly from our warehouse if they are local.
