Kim's 4 Family Bonding Activities on a Budget
As a mother I know how hard it may be to get the whole family together. Whether it be work, recreational events, or life in general keeping life on the go. It is important to get everyone together to spend quality time as a family! Here are a few go to things to get your family together for some time well spent!
Volunteer
This may not seem like a "fun" idea, but there is no better way to show your children how to show compassion than volunteering for the less fortunate! You can do something as simple as going to a nursing home to visit the elderly to going to your local food bank and serving the needy. This will not only teach them to be compassionate and kind but also will be time well spent with your family!
Star Gazing
Star gazing is a favorite of my family's! There's nothing better than making a fire in the back yard fire pit for roasting marshmallows and setting up a telescope for you and your family to watch the stars! You will be able to bond with your children while showing them the different constellations! Not only will you be getting in much needed family time but you will also not be spending money on a expensive night out!
Movie Night
Family movie night is perfect in so many ways! Not only do you get the cuddles and laughs but you also are saving money while doing so! Pop some popcorn grab the juice boxes and get ready to watch a favorite movie! I suggest letting each child choose a movie so everyone gets to see the film they want and you get more time to cuddle the kids!
Park
Taking the kids to the park is such a fun thing for the little ones! My daughter loves spending the day at the park playing with her older brother! This is such a fun, easy, cheap way to get in family time! Take a kick ball or basket ball along and play a few games with the kids, i promise they will love it! You will be making memories that will be sure to last!
