Ace of Base
Fall and Winter are primetime layering seasons! Going from inside to outside, warm to cold, and back again... It is important to make sure you don't both overheat or freeze depending on where you are at in your day! I've talked about layering before but I wanted to show some great examples of where it should all begin and what you can use with each option. Today I have tanks and dresses.
This taupe cami is longer and has lace detailing at the bottom. This is the type of top you wear under sweaters, ponchos, even cardigans... It is in a neutral color so will go with pretty much anything and is thin enough that you can wear it under heavier tops and not sweat to death!! You could wear it over leggings, jeggings, or skinnies and boots for a bonfire ready ensemble. We have some great sweaters on site right now that would look amazing over this tank!
Not many people think of dresses when they think of a base for layering but a simple solid dress is exactly what you need in your closet to make great outfits!! And its not called a LBD for nothing!! This dress has such clean lines that you could go bold or stay simple and still look amazing! Wear a long fringe vest or bright cardigan. Have a larger blanket scarf? It will be set off beautifully on top of this dress! Stay away from navy but go more for yellows, oranges, reds, and turquoises. The black background will really make those colors pop!!
"Back To Basics" Dress in Black
Bright colors can make a great base. This dark coral tank is very simple in the sense that it doesn't have any pattern or texture to it until you get the the bottom and even then its still very delicately done in a sheer ruffle. This will look great under cardigans and you could even wear a sweater over it! (Maybe in navy or chocolate?) Don't be afraid of pairing it with a scarf as well as that cardigan!
"Pumpkin Spice" Tank in Dark Coral
This silvery grey dress is just gorgeous! This lighter dress is great for pairing with your darker items like navy scarves/vests or black cardigans but will look just as good with cranberry red ones as well! Mix it up. Make it funky by wearing a pattern tight with it and your favorite boots!
"So Very Socialite" Dress in Silver
